History

The formerly named Buena Vista International Television was rebranded Disney-ABC International Television in September 2007 as part of The Walt Disney Company's larger efforts to focus on the Disney, ABC and ESPN brands.

As the largest international distributor of kids TV programming, Disney-ABC International Television offers Disney-branded animated and live action series, Disney Channel Original Movies, pre-school and Jetix programming. DAIT also distributes reality and scripted TV formats from ABC and ABC Studios.

Disney-ABC International Television is part of Disney-ABC Television Group, a division of The Walt Disney Company, and has regional offices in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle-South America and Canada.

Unlike the former Buena Vista International logos, which were placed (and still remain) on nearly all previous shows (2007-) owned by Disney, DAIT's logo is usually not seen at the end of programming distributed by them.

DAIT-distributed shows owned by other companies in North America

Several shows in the Disney-ABC library are owned by other companies in North America, but by DAIT internationally.

Examples include:

All of the above shows are owned by NBC Universal Television, Sesame Workshop, CBS Television Distribution and 20th Television in North America.
